As we made eye contact, my heart sank. I knew what was coming.

"Look at me boy! Your performance was barely worth your exhaustion!"
"You SUCKED!! What were you thinking out there?"

I mumble, "But I scored the game winner."

His reply is "What about that pass? What about those uncontested shots you missed? Why do you even bother?"

I start to absorb his words as truth.

I look at him with a stiff upper lip and pray that the tears in my eyes will be covered by the resolve in my voice. My only words are "Message received."

He says to me "Get your sorry ass out of here and go home and practice! Don't bring that weak crap in here again!"

I drop my gaze from his and slowly pick up my bag from the floor.

As I sigh deeply and feel a tap on my shoulder. From behind me I hear "Excuse me, but I am in a hurry and was wondering if are you almost finished with that mirror."

Silently I turn and walk out of the locker room.

What????

So I am freaking out right now, cause I feel like I am being drawn..called to something that just never fit into the plan I had for my life.

I look back and I can see how my past has prepared me for my future. What I am struggling with the most is the what and how the world will support or not support the path I am being pulled toward.

I know where the call is coming from, cause this is nothing I could have ever come up with on my own.

I am not prepared to reveal the entire download at this point, but a major part of it involves adoption.
