It's 11:55 - Doomsday?

A trans-Atlantic group of prominent scientists has nudged the Doomsday Clock two minutes closer to midnight.

Midnight to a scientist might spell doom, but my mind can't help but drift to the other major secular reference to midnight, New Year's Day.

What do we see, feel, hear on the strike midnight - joy, freedom from old bonds, promises of change and new forms.
